My Practicum Experience

Finally, after more than two years of distance learning, we were able to be in the lab again!

For context, I have a lablife since I am a Chemistry major. Sadly, due to the pandemic, we were not able to do a lot of our lab works and experiments in person which sucked big time. Part of the Chemistry curriculum is what we call Practicum in Chemistry. It is done the midyear [summer] term prior to our terminal year. Usually, it is done in companies wherein Chemistry majors really experience what is it like to work in the industry, but in our case, we did it in our uni's chemistry laboratory. [Besides, we are clueless with many of the lab techniques and applications so...]

Even with the unusual setup of our Practicum, I am still very glad I was able to do some lab works and held some lab apparatus. I feel valid now as a chem major 🥲
