A Poem for Elei's Birthday

 
      

Elei is a really great and awesome friend of mine. We have been friends since Junior year of high school. Come Senior year, we ended up being seat mates from the first day of class, and until the end, we were seat mates. Our friendship grew in 2017 and I can say that she is close to my heart. She is the friend you would constantly ask God to have. I am blessed for the gift of friendship. 

She most probably heard all of my rants during our Senior year, and she still continually listens to me whenever I have something to tell. I always tell her to do her best, and she never disappoints! She is very hardworking and she deserves everything she has and achieved. She will be a physician, I am claiming it. Before I forget, she is kind and lovely too. 

Her birthday was on the 23rd of June but I am just posting this blog a day after because I didn't think of it!!!

Here is a short poem for my dearest friend's birthday. 

To my dearest friend who is both lovely and kind,
Whose principles and character are always entwined:
Praise God for you, I’m blessed by friendship unrefined.
A friend just like you, I think I will never find.
 
Honestly, with this poem, I didn’t know how to start.
I thought 'Should I say she loves lavender and art?'
Or how about I announce 'This woman is smart!'
All I know is you’re a friend who’s close to my heart.
 
When at times you feel you are not being a friend,
Remember, it’s okay some time to yourself spend.
To compose yourself, to cry, to heal and to mend.
Just never forget to Him alone you depend.
 
With much love, for you, to our Father I pray
May love, grace, and blessings greet you day by day.
Continue being the light that shines others’ way.
I have more to say, but I’ll pause with ‘Happy birthday’.
