Stay Connected 🌳
Here in the Philippines, people are fond of planting. Others plant to have resources that will suffice their needs, while others plant for recreation. The picture shown is the “Tree of Life” as the National Museum of Natural History dubs it. Unlike people, trees and plants have roots, and they need to be connected to the soil, water or air in order to survive. Being connected alone is not an assurance of survival, they must be planted correctly in order for them to receive the nutrients they need to grow. Although I have not experienced fall, I can say that it is a known fact that there are times when plants lose their leaves, they lose their beauty, greatness and glory, but if they stay upright, connected to the soil [air], there is an assurance that all things go will back to normal; their beauty returns as spring comes. Plants are groomed, dead branches must be removed for them to grow better. The same goes with us humans, connected alone is not an assurance of a good, fruitful life. We must be connected correctly. We humans must be connected to the Maker of the universe whom all needs and blessings provide. There may be times when we have to cut certain things in life, but we must realize that these things give us nothing and are only hindrances to our growth. As we are the branches and He is the vine (John 15:5), we are the vine and He is the gardener (John 15:1). We must connect and remain in Him, we must surrender ourselves, for without Him, we are nothing. He is faithful and will not allow us to experience things and temptations we cannot endure (1 Corinthians 10:13). There may also be times that all else fail, we lose our splendor, but if we remain connected, we are assured in James 1:12 that one who triumphed in trials will receive the crown of life, and in Isaiah 41:10 that we must not fear for He will always be with us. Like trees after the fall, everything will be fine when spring comes as long as we stay connected. Humanity's fall may have started from a tree, yet we are assured that if we stay connected to Him, we will see the Tree of Life in heaven. Stay connected!🌳
